I was born in Belfast, and graduated with a BA in Graphic Design. During a post-graduate course, I was able to concentrate on my favourite subject matter, vernacular architecture particularly the Georgian Era.
I have always been drawn to the sea, and regularly visited the coast on holiday. During a holiday with my young family, I paid a visit to Portmore Pier in Malin Head. I was enspired by a fishermans latest haul. This piqued my interest in sealife, and how species might be brought to life in Watercolour. Our kitchen needed some artwork, so I set about a few watercolour paintings of lobster and mackerel. It's a great way to work, I collect the fish, phtograph it, sketch it and the eat it!
In recent years I have expanded my collection to include A3 Prints, ceramics and textiles which are available on my website. I'm thrilled to colaborate exclusively with DIY Splashbacks, as glass is the perfect material to make my watercolour work sing! Think of these products as waterproof works of art, even a kitchen should have items beauty as well as practicality!
